  • Are SEGMAG machines easy to operate?

    Yes. They are designed for simple and intuitive use. The UCCNC system, CAD/CAM compatibility, and the training provided make learning and daily use easy, even for operators without advanced CNC experience.

  • What materials can I work with?

    The machines we manufacture allow you to work with wood and wood derivatives, MDF, plastics, rubber, POM, acrylics, foams, composites, aluminum, brass, Kevlar, aluminum composite panels, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and expanded polystyrene (EPS/Styrofoam), among other materials. Regardless of the model, you can work with the same variety of materials, ensuring greater versatility and freedom in production.

  • Can the machines be customized?

  • What CAD/CAM software can I use?

    SEGMAG machines are compatible with a wide range of CAD/CAM solutions, allowing you to work with the software that best suits your production process. Among the most commonly used solutions are VCarve Pro, Mastercam, RhinoCAM, Aspire, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and Autodesk Fusion 360, among others. To ensure proper integration between the software and the machine, SEGMAG develops and provides post-processors adapted to different CAD/CAM solutions and machine configurations.   • What control system do you use?

    SEGMAG machines use the UCCNC, in conjunction with the UC300ETH motion controller, via Ethernet connection. This system provides precise and stable control of machine movements, with the ability to manage configurations of up to 6 axes, depending on the model and configuration. The control software is adapted by SEGMAG to the machines we manufacture, making operation more intuitive and facilitating learning and daily use. The system also includes diagnostic tools and operational log files, which help identify anomalies and expedite technical support when needed. For greater safety and operational control, it also features user management and different access levels, according to the machine configuration and applicable requirements. In short: a precise, reliable control system adapted to SEGMAG machines, designed to facilitate operation and technical support.

  • Are the machines manufactured in Portugal?

  • Is training provided?

    Yes. SEGMAG provides training to help operators use the machine and control system correctly.

  • Is there after-sales technical support?

    Yes. SEGMAG provides a fast, efficient and reliable technical support service, assisting customers with usage, maintenance and troubleshooting. As we manufacture most of the machine components in-house, we have direct knowledge of the equipment and can expedite responses to customer needs, helping to reduce downtime and keep production running. In certain situations, the UCCNC system allows for remote diagnostics, facilitating the identification of problems and, where possible, their remote support and resolution.

  • Are spare parts available?

    Yes. SEGMAG maintains a regular stock of spare parts for the equipment it manufactures and has in-house production, allowing for a quick response to maintenance needs and helping to reduce equipment downtime.

  • Can I rent a machine before buying?

    Yes. SEGMAG offers machine rental solutions to temporarily increase production capacity, meet specific project needs, or evaluate equipment under real working conditions before purchase. This way, the customer can test the machine during the rental period and, if they decide to proceed with the purchase, the rental can be converted into a purchase, according to the applicable commercial terms.
